It's time to start S A V I N G

Some may think of this a being a hard task, I think it's doable if you set your mind to it! I recently opened a savings account with my local bank and as soon as I was done and got into my car to drive home, I felt.... relieved... is this possible I thought? OF COURSE it is, I CAN DO THIS, and so can you! Many years ago, I had to save for something I really wanted (no, I didn't need it!) I really just wanted it, so I was able to save a few thousand dollars in a matter of 6 months, some of you are wondering "How the heck did I do that?" the answer is pretty simple. Stop eating out, stop and think before making a purchase and most of all if you've thought about making a purchase and didn't.... take the money you "would" have spent and put into your savings. Even if that was a $1 for a cup of coffee or $100 on that purse you just had to have but didn't buy.... just think of how fast you can save up for something. I'm sure you've seen my post about traveling the US, so now it's time for me and Hubby to get into really saving. It's funny because I was in a store the other day and I wanted to buy something and now out of habit I ask myself "Do you REALLY need that?" The answer is always NO, so I think "Good I can put that money into savings!" It's all about control and mindset. Sometimes we often feel we need this or that when we really don't, I mean it's not a dire emergency for me to have that wonton soup, I'm sure I could find something at home to eat. Saving money isn't as hard as you think and we don't need to keep up with everyone else, it's time to be happy with what you have and think big, long term. For me I'm saving so I can travel the US with the hubby and enjoy myself, and yes, while some of those attractions aren't NEEDED, it's what I'm saving up for. Have a goal in mind and GO FOR IT! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
